Description
The basic canvas tote, done properly. Fourteen ounce cotton canvas, unbleached and unwashed so it starts stiff and softens over a few months. Handles are 1-inch cotton webbing sewn down the full height of the bag and bar-tacked at eight points, so the load sits on the webbing rather than the fabric. Bottom corners are boxed to give a 5-inch base that stands on the counter while you load it.
Measures 15 inches wide, 16 inches tall, 5 inches deep, with a 10-inch handle drop that clears a winter coat. One interior slip pocket for keys. Weighs 9 oz. Sewn in a family workshop in Texas. Machine wash cold, hang to dry; expect about 3 percent shrink on the first wash.
